Habits.
Hmm.
I habitually forget to do my chores. Does that count? :)
Habits....
I always want to grow my nails, but end up biting them if they get too long, and having to cut them. I play piano...so long nails are not acceptable. Is that even a habit...?

I must ponder upon this subject for a moment's time.

Okay.
Bad Habits I Wish To Forget:

I roll up the sleeves of my new hoodies, which in turn stretches them, which in turns creates unhappiness within Jazzy's soul.
I always tell myself not to, but it gets the better of me: I roll up my earphones around my iPod, no matter how much I hate to (it's convenient) and it in turn wrecks the wires and results in only one working earphone. Grr....
I bite my lower lip. A lot. And now...especially in the winter, it's always chapped....

That's all I can think of right now..... :)

Well. I created this blog to express the ounces of enthusiastic measures taken in my life.
This whole year has pretty much revolved around school, considering that's when I started it (September 2010). But, I like to talk about a lot of what's going on in my life.
Your job: To grin and bear it. I write a lot.
Oh. I also post A LOT of links. I love music. I love creativity. And I love it when people mix the two sensations together.

15 Facts 

I love Britain. Never have I been to this place...but I am in love with British accents, ancient British buildings, British comedy, and British music.

I rock out to several different genres of music {I can't just choose one} ~~indie (rock/pop/techno/folk), normal rock, britpop, alternative, hip hop, classical, piano, jazz....INDIE!~~

I love to eat and cook exotic foods.

I am Sri Lankan.

I love to write, and have recently begun to do so in French. 

I paint abstract.

I write metaphorical songs.

I absolutely love astronomy. The stars...the universe...they fascinate me. 

I read a lot. Pretty much any genre.

I hate scary movies. My idea of scary: Deja Vu, Inception, Shutter Island...etc. Things that are a battle of the mind kind of creep me out. I'm getting over it though. 

I love to dance, though I've never taken lessons.

I am absolutely obsessed with Star Wars. Yoda is my hero. 

I play the piano, recorder, know a little saxaphone, a little guitar, and have experimented with a harmonica and want to learn the banjo because weird instruments are the coolest most unique things ever. Anything that's "different" and wouldn't be used by artists in the Billboard Top 100 are things I am completely interested in. 

I wear turquoise eye shadow, and don't care what the prepsters think. 

I have no idea what I'm going to be when I grow up, but I trust the God who breathed air into my lungs. I owe it all to Him...for He knows the plans He has for me.....plans to prosper...and not to harm. Plans to give me hope and a future. {{Jeremiah 29:11}}

Reading Jay's blog, that good friend of mine, I came across a new challenge that i admire much more than the Facebook 30-Day Challenge. It's taken me like 60 days to complete that one, and I haven't even finished. There's only so many things I can find picture suiting phrases best.
But this one, now this one's good. :)
It combines everything I love: writing, expressing, AND pictures (but not an exceedingly ridiculous amount). :)

Atrocious.

The definition of atrocious: horrifyingly wicked.
Dissecting the rat was absolutely atrocious.


I mean it. Gross.
Well.
I know I won't be a doctor anytime soon. I can still smell the formaldehyde. I've washed my hands a million times...evidently plastic gloves are not proper barriers. Oh gross. I also still feel like puking.
Poor albino rat. I picked him out of the dripping yellow water, and placed him in the pan. His little hand was covering his heart, his other hand was sticking up in the air, and his tongue was sticking out. I am not kidding!
Wholly serious!
Poor little guy.
Miss Sixx and I cut him open, tweezed his intestines, stomach, liver, kidneys, lungs, heart, and brain out.

Oh dear.
I don't want to talk about this anymore.

On the other hand, Athos, Essentially B (whose name I'm thinking of switching to Tin-Tin to be quite honest) and Empress P have been sooo encouraging.
I'm still thinking about this IB stuff....not sure if I want to drop IB French or not....but.....
you guys are great friends....so thanks. :)


In the mean time, I'm going to enjoy this last day of semester 1 by watching a movie....unless someone calls me up and suggests STARBUCKS!! :) I could do with a Starbucks right about now.

One Last Thing.

Lately I've been wondering what I want to do in university...what university I should go to...if I want to do something else for a year..before hand and all.

The thing is...I'm not sure what I want to do...
I've chosen to take three IB Humanities Courses (English, French, and History)...

But how are these going to come in handy?

I know it will.

I just want to know what I'll use them for.

And yet....I know God's got this plan for me up His sleeve. And that...I'll know when the time comes. My Mumsie keeps telling me this.

And there's the idea of, well, what if I want to pursue a career in music? I love to sing...and I have connections, so I could jump into the industry right now if I wished to....

I just don't feel the time is right, nor do I know if I'm fit for that world.

I guess I'll have to wait. Keep my head up. IB's quite...well...I don't know what the right word is to describe a course filled with tons of homework and curriculum that is meant for college-aged kids...don't get me wrong...it's already proven to be helpful.

It's been a struggle though, not gonna lie.
I'm glad semester 2 is coming up. I'll have time to get into a sport which I am SO happy for! And get a JOB! :) Go to concerts....hang out with Athos and Porthos.
Life sounds good.

But...still thinking...brain's a steamin. Mainly cause of the stress brought upon the last week...exam prep!

Oh well. Trusting that Big Guy Upstairs.....

GAH! Snow DAY! :)

Much has been accomplished today.

1. I ACTUALLY CLEANED MY ROOM. My closet is organized...[erm..for the most part] Nothing is under my bed...[aside from a binder that won't be used until semester 2, and a bio text book i haven't used all semester]...and i vacuumed! :) I'm so happy.

2. I have managed to put my fingers to the test and nearly ace "Gavotte in G Major" "Play" and..well...I'm almost finished one page of "Grenade"...and I'm still trying to get my left hand to play E Major Triads properly. This is still good news for me. I got "Play" down in one week...usually it takes me at least 2-3 weeks.

That's pretty much it.
I probably should be working on my World Literature Paper, and that History project thingerr....
But who cares.


Now, while I wait for piano lessons, I am going to read Book One of "The Wheel of Time" series. [goal: to finish..meh...the next 2 chapters. I'm on chapter 2 right now. It's a really good book; definitely recommend it.]

I'm working on signing up for rowing or whatevs....but I have a bunch of things to figure out before hand. Like if I'm busy or not (I'm involved in a lot this year...so...we'll see how it goes).

I should've made one of my New Years Resolutions to be: "Jazzy, you cannot eat anything with sugar in it." It seems that over the holidays, I have consumed a crazy amount of chocolate. Bad Jazzy, Bad.

30 FB Picture Challenge-Day 17-Something that made a huge impact on my life recently.

I believe that to impact, we should go directly to the source. As proven recently, tons of money went to help the Haitian people who lost family, homes, and numerous resources, but absolutely nothing is being done! Where did our money go??? To help those insufficient unnecessary so called "needs" of north american people. Those people who sat in chairs drinking coffees and answering phone calls that were simply dead ends! Those phone calls that didn't help Haiti what-so-ever! Those people who didn't experience a life-threatening earthquake! Our money went to people who wanted to make their pockets heavier; it went to people who didn't see their families crushed; those people who don't know what it feels like to lose numerous limbs and see the blood of loved ones shed violently.

I'm tired of everyone making money their utmost desire!
The riches we should want are not dollar signs, bling, and pimped up cars! Those material items only last a little while. We should make happiness, love, and fulfilment our desire!

We need to take back our world and work together to help the less fortunate.

We need to be the change.

We need to step up...and actually do something!

The Interval That Linked a Bridge

It started with a bang. :)
Sri Lankan fire works blasted my world...as a wonderful new 2010 year began.
It progressed slowly...tears were shed...this bridge's structure altered a little...
2010 was not like the years before.
I saw, experienced, and watched the sparkles of magic fly across the sky in Disneyland. Heaven on Earth.

God's gonna do wonderful things this year.

As is tradition, I have my New Years Resolutions figured out.

1. To do something for myself.
2. To do something for my family.
3. To do something that will impact a greater number.

1. I want to exercise more than I am. :) So, I'm going to inquire about rowing. It'll be fun :) I'm excited.
2. This is for me to know and my family to find out ;)
3. Well. I've decided to complete a list of Vain Endeavourments (that probably sound like they focus more on wishes and hopes...desires...more so than trying to impact the community, but trust me. It'll all come together).

VAIN ENDEAVOURMENTS
1. I want to start an event that will impact a greater number. I would not like to share what it is with all of you, but I'll get it done. :)
2. I'm going to get a job, whether I like it or not.
3. So I can buy a fancy shmancy camera ;) and a banjo. You might think this is silly, but you'll forget that once I give you a free ticket to my banjo-filled concert ;)
