About Me

Perhaps I'll sail around the world; go on a pilgrimage. I'd like to see what's out there, what I am missing. Maybe ink up, open a tea shop, and publish my music. But a goal's just a wish without plans.

I Think It's Weird

that there are more people in Denmark looking at my blog, then in Canada itself. -.-
Just a little strange.

Today looks like a visit to the pumpkin patch, and off to see a friend of the family's hobby involving birds. :) Absolutely amazing! I never knew there were so many different kinds of chickens and ducks--really beautiful actually! :) In the mean time I've got to write two letters: one to a bestie who lives halfway across the world :P {[Bananerzzzz]} and another to some French person for my French project. :) I's be stoked. :)

I'm a little bummed out that I won't be making it out to a concert with a couple of my favourite bands. For privacy's sake I won't say who they are :) :D But, it is next week. :( siiiiigh. Oh well. Next time. :p

Oh! I made triangle pancakes for breakfast this morning :D They were quite successful! :D
My cousin C.P. sent me this amazing link; check it OUT.

Quote:

"Be the change you want to see." -Ghandi [Red]

This has actually been my life the past week. I'm changing my thought pattern...how I see things (((IB!!!!))) to be a more positive outlook. Hey, it's hard...but I've gotta try and put my best foot forward in whatever I do, so I figured if I've decided to take on the full workload of homework, I shouldn't be so harsh about it....as in....I don't need to ridicule everything. Probably sounds dumb to some of you, but it's just something I need to do. Eventually if I think positive all the time ((errr....most of the time)) it'll feel a little easier. It was my choice to take IB...now I've just gotta get through it....at least 86% happily.
Think I'm wrong?
Hear me out: At the beginning of the week, I absolutely hated with a very very strong passion: LOTF.
Today, I can say that by reading it in a slightly different perspective, I've been seeing it as a giant metaphor. I won't say it now cause I'm planning on using it for my oral presentation, but...that is that. I'm still a little disgusted with it because it's so dark....but....I have one more chapter to go and I'm not dreading it as much as I was last Monday.
Second verse of encouragement:

Proverbs 15:13 (New International Version)

13 A happy heart makes the face cheerful,
       but heartache crushes the spirit.

It's cool...because I've been feeling a lot lighter in spirit now that I've started changing my perspective.

God is good.

Had A Blast Today.

Walked around in my Rockstar Elf costume. :D Purple Wig that flashed red little things on thoses little clear hair-like light thingyssss.......Brainy B knows what they are :p Tie-Dye pinkishpurply leos, elfish boots, elfish hat...leather jacket....rockband guitar (ALL THANKS TO EMPRESS P!) and my super-green-sunglasses. :)
It was cool. :p

But that is beside the point. In English we watched The Sixth Sense--but we only got through about an hour and half's worth....AND NO ONES TELLIN ME THE ENDING.
Could some one please explain? I'm not going to take the time to rent it and finish it. T_T
PLEASE. :)

Another thing. We sent letters in French class involving a certain project, to different French places. We are in groups so one letter goes to a French country (my partner, C-Train's) went to Tahiti (!! exciting !!) and mine went to the "Consult General de France a Toronto."
Well.
He replied!!
Problem: I can't figure out what his note says because it's messy French writing. It's hard enough reading French, let alone messy writing. :p
I'll write it here, and if you can Athos, do you think you could figure out the missing word(s)? I've got most of it figured out....it just took a while before I noticed his "o's" were actually "a's." Go figure it's also handwriting. :p
((Excuse the lack of accents))

Merci,
Bonne chance!
D.C.

I'm thinking that he pretty much just told me that the attached yellow paper he gave me will have all the information I need. (i.e. Write to this other place and ask them, and use the website on the yellow paper for general information on Tahiti.)

I'm kind of stoked. :) It's cool writing to some one I don't know en Francais. :)

I shall leave everyone with two quotes today.  The first, because it was sent to me last week, and I find it inspiring. The second, because Lecrae posted it and I found it to also be inspiring, and utterly true (for my sake).

"Every thought we think is creating our future." -Louise L Hay [Red]

Hope you all have a great weekend. :)

Eeks!

I haven't written for what seems like forever! But maybe it's because my mind is metaphorically blowing up word by word as I'm forced to read Lord of the Flies. Awful dreaded book. AVOID READING IT! <--This coming from a very bookwormish-chick who loves most books for....the most part. :P This novel however, is filled with dread and terrible incidents that need not be heard. I hate it with a passion.
There is also to take in, that I have a history project due next Friday, but I've got to throw myself into some babysitting jobs in between. Don't know how I'm going to finish it...considering I've hardly even started. My notes aren't really helping me. Plus, there is my dreaded French. Kindly, Michael Jackson has refrained from giving us 10 "les activites" and cut it down to 8. :P Slightly helpful....but it still means I'll be spending time for...at least 2 weeks of November...at lunch...in her class. Duh duh duuuuh. :P

In other news...uhm. There is none. I mean...I spend my life doing homework...and the spare time? Reading 1 Kings and Proverbs ....at the least 2 chapters each (Deffs recommend some proverbs if you are in need of guidance! SO encouraging)...and then Harry Potter. :) I am on book 4! Goal: To finish all the books before November 19th!! GAAH! SO HARD! MUST READ! MUST WATCH HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWSSSSSSSSS! :) That'll be exciting.

I'm trying to get myself off this thing to go and practice some piano (which I haven't done all week) prior to lessons which start in an hour. DEAR ME. My life...I tell you :P

Quote of the Day from a family memba:  :)

"I work for money, if you want loyalty, get a dog." [Nelly]

Bravo. ;)

Oh! I am going to dress up this Friday (as it's our Halloween Spirit Week) as a Rockstar Elf. :) If all works out, Ima wear some green leos, my leather jacket, MAYBE one legwarmer...the boots ;) the green-elf-like-hat that Brainy B made, and the Guitar Hero//Rockband Guitar Empress P shall lend me for the day. :D Hopefully I will look like a rockstar elf. OH! Most important piece: the purple wig I got!!! And I just found out...there's something else on the wig that I'll leave as a surprise until Friday! :D It's SOOOO exciting!! :D

I've gotta jet....NEED TO PLAY PIANO! :O

:) Oh Joy.

Lazy Sunday afternoon, and I've just realized that I didn't finish my French homework. :P Oh well--easy enough.

I leave this quote from my cousin who's not really my cousin but in Sri Lankan culture you're practically related to everyone: C.P.
:)

"Kindness doesn't necessitate a judgment of right or wrong, ally or enemy, deserving or undeserving. It is simply the natural disposition of the wise." [C.P.]

Blah Blah Blahhhhhhh.

I do realize I didn't write yesterday, but quite frankly I had no time. :)
Right now, I'm not even supposed to be writing. I should be reading Lord of the Flies, or working on that lame-o WWI work package thingamabobber. :P
But I am not. I am writing. Here. Lamely.

:\
I have not but much else to say. I leave you with a quote submitted by my good friend, Athos. :)

Je suis "ROCKIN OUT" to Monster by Skillet :)

Je n'ai pas un mot dire.

MAIS CETTE!

Nous sommes lire "Lord of the Flies."
Je veux brûler cet livre!!!!!!!!!!! C'est effrayer!
Je ne peux pas attendre finir le roman parce que je (vais ecrire?) un essai sur comment le roman etait STUPIDE.

i know i didn't conjugate that properly but I'm too lazy to do it properly. My brain hurts.

OH YEAH! :) Me and Sixx "made" a student teacher for Bio. :D His name is Mr. Fylum. :D Mr. Crow will learn to love and accept him. Mr. Fylum has a CNIDARIAN :) [Cnidarian is supposed to be pronounced S-nid-air-ian in this case ;)]

You know what's a bummer? The radio is on and it's playing French music. T_T

I Am Currently

listening to "Barbara Streisand" by Duck Sauce. =D
You need to listen to this. :D
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkQRVeRdyWs
It takes about 0:45s to get into the amazingness of it all. :)

I was harassed by Jabberwocky and Empress P today. What else is new? :P :D hahaha Having great friends is always SOO beneficial to lame-o school days. :)

Awwh Yeeeah inside jokes Yeeeah

Apparently I remind Def Leppard, HP Sauce, Essentially B, and a few others (who I don't have nicknames for yet) of Tupac.

BAAAhaahahaha

Obviously this only makes sense to those of you who saw me today.....me and my bandana. XD

Other then that.....not much to say. :)
Hope your day went well! :)

"I've Been Keeping My Eyes Wide Open....I've Got My Mind Wide Open....."

~Switchfoot

Since my last blogpost I've been attempting to make each moment I live....actually come alive. The most distinct sounds awaken the falling stars. Airplanes hovering above the city, crickets chirping, wind blowing--it all adds up to a bewildering paint. I've discovered new metaphorical colours to distinguish the unknown. (i.e. I'm expanding the horizons of what I've always known and drawing what I've been afraid to.)
Need a Piece of Advice? Learn a new language. (Or at least try. :P It doesn't matter if you never finish; I've tried 4-5 times. I only speak English fluently....and I'm being forced to learn French) Listen to music you hate. Read books you don't feel like touching. Find out things that are uninteresting....
Sounds boring.
But I can guarantee you will find out something you'll cherish forever...and it'll be yet another snippet of inspiration you will be able to carry around with you....for life.
Need some evidence? I've got two stories for ya. :)
1.) This summer my mum read a book on Getting New Ideas (I forget the real title) ;) for writing, arts, literature, etc.... and one of the segments involved thinking like a child. Trust me--it helped me with my paintings. I didn't just stick with one "utensil" so to speak. Usually my art is strictly watercolour, OR pencil crayon, OR pastels. For one of my last pieces, I pushed it all together. I smudged where I didn't want to, I coloured out of the lines....I HAD NO RULES. Which is definitely stepping out of bounds for me...when it comes to the brunt of it...I can be too much of a perfectionist....and by experiencing what I didn't want to, I learned to paint in a whole new way. My next step is to move onto Acrylics.
I hate acrylic paint. :P
2.) I've started listening to new genres of music--some of which I've never heard of. If you read the tab on the right I've listed every single one of my favourite bands. It varies from Rock, Alternative, Classic, to Indie//Indie Rock//Indie Punk//Indie Electronic (Indie is one of my favourites XD) to Rap. ;)  I love how people can express their most inner feelings through music, even if it doesn't make sense, because it allows us to see things differently. We can make it what we want it to be. There are no rules.

So, you can see how easily perspectives may be changed. It's just the process of actually stepping out of your comfort zone, and working with what seems impossible.

Memo: Never lose your values though. Keep them strong, keep them well built, and never knock 'em down. It's hard because they're exercised daily. Ex. I have to maintain my walls by not listening to music with a negative perspective. Sometimes it's easy, sometimes it's not. Daily goals revolve around standing strong in what you believe, but at the same time caring to hear the wise thoughts of wise people.
I hope that made sense.

Winston Churchill once said, "A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty." To me, that pulls everything together. We keep our values, we strengthen our weaknesses, we believe in ourselves and it provides hope. We become our own inspirations.

Memo#2: Thank you Athos for that quotation. I will be sure to use it this Saturday. :) I very much do agree with your point. So so true. :)

My Writings are Dying..... :P

Can you guys recommend any quotes? Who are the inspirational people in your life? I'm thinking of dedicating next week to quotes you draw muse from.
Go ahead and tell me.....there is no need to fear commenting on my blog :P :)

But, for now, it'll be Winston Churchill. :)

"A fanatic is one who can't change his mind and won't change the subject." ~Winston Churchill.

Do Ponder.

"If we all fired our dreams into explosive bombs
Those dreams that'd be unleashed into a fatal sense of calm....
If we became our worst nightmare
And challenged every thought and every care....
If we all did what we did not dare
If we all walked a path unshared....

No....
no it would not be feared....
So there might be opprobrium from the hated and remorse....
But....no....
I do not think we'd be alone..."

~Jazzy. ;)

I want you guys to read this. It's from a fellow blogger I follow who always has something greatly motivating to say.....

"Elton John chases down his goal. He does not wait for inspiration. He does not wait for the moment to come to him. He chases it. He hunts it. He searches for it. He runs until his legs give out, then he runs some more.

If we as believers lived our lives this way, what could we achieve? If you ran your business this way, what could your business become? If you managed your relationships this way, what would you have?

Instead we sit and wait, thinking that greatness will find us.

Really, greatness doesn't come to the great. It comes to the one who runs the hardest. The one that runs until their feet blister.

How hard will you push yourself for success?"

Pep Rallies...

obviously don't help OUR school much...I'd say our school lacked a certain amount of "pep" at the game today...considering we lost :P :) haha I'd say the RoadRunners were VERY ecstatic about winning. :P dressed up in all their greeny greenness. :P
oh well.
I left halfway because it was too cold, so I'm guilty of having no pep just as much. :P =D haha I'm sure Empress P will be proud of this =)

On another note, me and Miss Sixx had a blast taking 5 minutes apart from Bio to translate "ABC...easy as 123...so simple as DoReMe, ABC, 123 baby you and me!" hahahaha This is because we are THE BOMB. :)
I'm sure we're gonna end up purple with happiness  by the end of this semester....for sure, Sixx, here.

FOR THE WIN.

"Let's keep our fingers crossed"(in the voice of Steve Martin in The Pink Panther) that I don't die while attempting to drive tomorrow. :D haha...No worries, it'll be in a safe empty parking lot....for the sake of all mankind. :)

Memo: The Pumpkin Spice Latte at Starbucks is SOOOOOOO good. :) I tried it for the first time today!! Haha, yes I put aside my Cafe Americano to try this AMAZING cup of goodness wrapped up in a beverage cup of awesomeness. Definitely recommend it. :)

Memo#2: I should hope NOBODY is going to the Justin Bieber concert tomorrow! Or I will personally hurt you. There is some pretty good music out there and you do not need to be filling your heads with the nonsense of this Bieber kid. :)

Memo#3: I only have one more day, but Ima put aside the Mana Quotes 'cause obviously they weren't that successful, I hardly wrote this week. But, I found this quote that is just SO true.

"War doesn't determine who's right. War determines who's left."

I don't know who said this, but....all I've gotta say is that its VERY true.

Respect.
Jazzy.

I GOT MY L!

OHMYWORD.
The highlight of my day has been skipping History with my mom to get my L. =D AH!
95% bang on man. :) SCOREEEEE.

Dear Me. So, I drove around the block which involves a normal 50km/h speed, then a 30km/h school zone :P =S and then I had to turn off the main road onto our own street....bahahahah and I was pretty much riding the curb, cross-walk guard saw me XD and on the way up the hill to our street I could have possibly hit two cars. :P

This should be fun. =D

Mmmmm....It Smells Like Fall

I'm so excited! This weather means scarves, layers, jackets, and boots. =) Cold weather--Bring. It. On.

How was everyone's Thanksgiving? I'd appreciate a reply. You ARE allowed to comment.....and.....I know who reads this...so maybe I'll hunt you down at school bombarding you with attacking questions on why you have not dared to type in the box that allows you to comment upon this fascinating best amazing spectacular jumble of words.

...

There was a tone of sarcasm pronounced in that fragment of abundant joy.

Mine was fairly amazing. :) Pumpkin pieeeee........ yum.

Definitely thankful for peace......Reading All Quiet on the Western Front was, like I said before, eye-opening..... before this, I guess I'd never really fully understood what these soldiers go through....the horrors and mind-blowing aspects of it all are crazy. If you want to read a good book, read that.

Speaking of books, I've just finished Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Good stuff =) Onto the Prisoner of Azkaban as soon as the book gets in.... :P Hopefully not long. :)

Memo#1: Je parle Francais tres mal. :P
Memo#2: J'espere je suis fais bien dans la class de Francais. :P

This has been another epic boring blog with yours truly. I'll try and add in some more action when I become a superhero. :P

Sorry.

Shots FIRED :P

hahahahah.

French class will never be the same again.

On another note where all readers may decipher and apprehend what I am saying: Essentially B, Empress P, and I had a wonderful time using a strength of potency towards people enhancing their views on baked goods so as to persuade them to buy cookies....The Crack sold out quite fast as we all had predicted. :) C-Train said we raised roughly $100.00 :) A good start for our Key (Geek) Club fundraiser. Our upcoming projects are the Write for Rights and the 30-Hour Famine. :)

On another note that is slightly off key....(because it involves such an odious topic).....I'm pretty sure Michael Jackson and Mr. Bwoink are purposely being intransigent. :P Never have I met such a teacher who profoundly devotes their life to demeaning ours. How ignominious! :) Meanwhile Essentially B, Crackers, and I have been amusing our lives with the incredibly bogus pictures of French people and THEIR lives. (I'm not speaking of the present French people....for that would be emotionally degrading towards even myself!! :P No. I am talking about King Louis XVI.)

Moreover, I have started to SING at my PIANO lessons. Oxymoron#1. Kind of exciting....yet slightly disconcerting seeing as though I've only just met this piano teacher two weeks ago.....and we're talking about a chick who's only sung for her parents and in front of the church (which may involve a lot of people, but it's not like you actually see them under the blinding lights :P). Bonus, my songs could possibly get produced...or at the least put on a CD seeing as he records music and such.
Exciting.

NASA and Athos: You will be happy to know I have finished Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and have now finished Chapter 1 of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. This series is incredibly enhancing! I love them :)
Regarding other books, in English class we have FINALLY finished All Quiet on the Western Front. Sadly endearing. I know. Oxymoron#2. But that's only because it was both intriguing in a way that wants you to keep reading, and despising in a way that wants you to put it down. I recommend it because it's SUCH an eye opener to the horrors of war...

Ending with a Yann Tiersen song:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWrxs2RDNRU

Enjoy.
I am off to finish up some homework. AND STUDY FOR FRENCH. :P

DJ Jazzy. ;)

Monday, October 4, 2010

Bonjour.

=) I'm quite satisfied....I take it you enjoyed Comptine d'un Autre Ete by Yann Tiersen? Good. =)

Uhm. I don't have much to say about today. A lot of "off" moments. :P

Memo: Remember to check if you actually know the person before you message them on facebook. :P

Memo#2: You should check out Lecrae's new album: Rehab.  Best. Here's a link:
I'm off to read a million pages of "All Quiet on the Western Front" and study some Francais. :P

My life's AMAZing.

Here's your "quote" for the day. Good song. =) Yann Tiersen :)

A demain!

Dear Me.

I've skipped a day.

:P

Shucks. Oh well. This will count for two days then.
I suppose it's time for me to introduce a new "Inspirational Quote" week =)
I've decided to go with music.....I don't remember who I was going to choose two days ago....I'm assuming it was probably some phony cartoon or what not...but I've really been inspired today. And, out of the utmost decorum, I shall be ending with Yann Tiersen links this week. Supposing you choose to dislike his creditable music, is just a weight upon your shoulders =) :P hehehe.....But, this music is of the engaging incentive....and I love it.

I aspire that you will enjoy it just as well.

As for my day.... =) I'm stoked because I've finally found time to paint my nails; however, this will happen after I practice a little bit of the link I will end with.

Today has been fanatical in that the pieces of music I've listened to have endeavoured to establish a sense of inspiration in my heart. I've been thinking intriguingly deep thoughts....as that is what inspiration does. I think it's also helped me in remembering big words I can use in my blog, that hopefully flow. =)

I've almost finished Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Just two more chapters to go! =) It's been a sensational adventure. :)

Well....this is where I leave you with a link of marvellous notes.

May you be fascinated!

Neon Maniac Drive.

I think that would be a very cool band name.
Obviously it's not. :P
I just perniciously used it to drag you into reading this condescending blogpost. =)

Did you all have an amazing day? I sure did. I saw Sector Bass after TWO YEARS =) Made my day.
PLUS....Empress P made crack, uhmnomnomnom  No worries I'm not a drug addict! Go google it, 'tis wonderful chocolately-caramel goodness.

And my day went by fast =) Surprisingly, I have like....next to no homework. I mean, of course there's stuff to do, but it'll be easypeasylemonsqueezy over the course of the upcoming days. Oh the WEEKEND how I love thee so ardently.

You know what'd be epic? If Dr. Seuss had some character who wore neon pants....or rather....a neon character of some sort.
Like a highlighter with a moustache and a pair of funny looking eyeballs?
hahahha kay, that reminded me:
I was reading All Quiet on the Western Front outloud to myself....and the word "moustache" came up....hahaha....I pronounced it "Moo-stauche." But like.....not on purpose :P

Yep.

Man. Did I mention I was stoked for this weekend????? SLEEEEEP!!!!
and READING TIME!  Score. I am now on chapter 4 of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Interesting things are about to happen. I can feel it. =)

Anyways, I hope you all have an amazing weekend. I shall update tomorrow! :P

Memo: I can't wait to start quoting a new inspiration starting tomorrow!! You will love it, guaranteed. And if you don't I outta pound ya with cheese. :P Because I hate cheese.
