About Me

My photo
Perhaps I'll sail around the world; go on a pilgrimage. I'd like to see what's out there, what I am missing. Maybe ink up, open a tea shop, and publish my music. But a goal's just a wish without plans.

beautiful person

"When I look into your eyes, it's like watching the night sky." - 'I Won't Give Up' by Jason Mraz.

Honestly, I haven't quite figured you out, but I'd like to try.

You are so full of wonder, it just makes me smile.

It's quite like magic, how you act upon deeds so genuine.

We are not the children we used to be.

"We were barely 18 when we'd crossed collective hearts.
It was cold, but it got warm when you'd barely crossed my eye.
and then you turned, put out your hand,
and you asked me to dance.
I knew nothing of romance, but it was love at second sight."

I Love Autumn

This season comes with so many feelings. It is both warm and cold. The leaves are bright and happy... though the sky is grey.

The other night a good friend invited me out to a worship night at a nearby college. It was wonderful. I looked out the window at one point and realized that though it was cold out at the time, just a few hours ago it had been a warm afternoon. Things are changing drastically. We haven't had weather this bizarre since 1945, says the local newspaper.

But as I looked into the night sky brazed by the fog... I thought about God.
God's picture must be like the sky. Sometimes I like to think of his eyes being the universe in it's entity.
The sky is always changing, and in yet some sense it is consistent. It is always there. It isn't always what we want it to be, but it's what we need it to be.

We haven't had rain in weeks.

We don't necessarily like the rain.

Nonetheless we need it immensely. The grass is brittle and the air is quite dry.

I was figuring during worship that God is quite a mystery in a sense, because we have not physically seen Him. I trust He is there. That is what faith is for. I know He is because of the feelings and happenings that have occurred over the past few months especially where I have felt His presence.

Faith is difficult to explain unless you have experienced it...so I shall not ramble too much on that note. Just this: the other day I was talking about someone dear to my heart... and I said something that my heart must have known for the past two years for sure, but has just now put words to. "Faith is an experience of enlightenment that no human can touch. It is in a place so deep within our souls that only the Enlightener can handle."

Back to what I was saying.

I love autumn. Specifically Autumn 2012. I have seen sunshine and felt cold and witnessed the changing of colours upon the beautiful trees. I do not despise the falling of leaves. It kind of reminds me of the natural state of things. Trees without leaves. Nothing to disguise their backbone or structure.

I love autumn because it's all the best wrapped into one phase. God's beauty is everywhere. Is unique persona. His mystery. It's in the clouded skies and the blank blue paint of a brisk morning.

It is an experience I wish to savour.

It is just beauty.

Just Because.

Here's a post... just because.
Not because I have to... or need to...
but... just because.

I have finally inserted some time for myself: to read. Not just all that junk we are forced to read in English class; it is for the sake of those books left to collect dust both on my own as well as the library's shelves.

Ode to:

The Cosmic Trilogy by C. S. Lewis.

It's absolutely genius. It's taken me a while to read it, but at least I've picked it up. It's lyrical... magical... quite like a metamorphosis about life in general, if you read between the lines.
I recommend it... x10.

Another thing:

You must listen to David Crowder* Band's new album: Give Us Rest or (A Requiem Mass in C [The Happiest of All Keys])

Fresh. New. Exciting. Invigorating. Real.

LOVE
IT.

The End.

FYI: I'm Not in Grade 10.

Todays adventures were a lot less awesome.
Rather dull.
But none the less, I thought I'd share with you all that the school flirt thinks I'm in grade 10.

-.-

After school I went to grab my backpack out of my locker, and the strap was wedged in on the side. I couldn't get it out -.- so I went and asked the VP for some help. She came to my locker, bringing along with her this kid who was asking her a question.
Both the guy and the VP seemed to think I was new to the school. As a matter of fact I have been going to this ghetto place since grade 10. I was like, "Naaa, I've been here for a couple of years."
He was like, "Grade 10."
A statement I misunderstood....and answered "Yes," to.
Oh dear.
So now, this guy thinks I'm in grade 10...when in reality, I just meant to have said that I've been going here since grade 10.
I was very preoccupied with the fact that the strap was wedged into the locker...and absentmindedly ignored what I had said, until I started riding my bike home and realized what had just happened.

Dear anonymous boy, I happen to be the same age as you, but I guess you won't really find out until Grad Timeeee.

:)

ahahahhaha,

Jazee.

Ra-Ra-Rasputin!

Skip to 1:38, then read the rest of this blogpost. :)

Oh my word. I'm pretty sure anyone who is into the oldies, knows what song that title is a part of.
It's soooo annoying.
It's been stuck in my head all day.
And now it will be stuck in yours. :)

I blame it on HP Sauce. Today we were reviewing the Russian Revolution unit, and she had asked, "Who's Rasputin again?"
Then I said, "Ra-Ra-Rasputin da da daaa dada da da daaaaa."

Mr. Wans gave me this terribly serious face and said, "Don't ever sing that song in my class again! ........I hate ABBA!"

=O

hahah, O-Mann and I were like, "But Wans, I don't think that song is by Abba."
Wans, "Who cares, I don't wanna be frolicking through the halls with that song stuck in my head!"

These are what sweet history things are made up of. :)
It was a great day. :)
For the remainder of our class, HP Sauce and I spent it singing Ra-Ra-Rasputin (ok...only I did) , and laughing our heads off at O-Mann's hilarious comments throughout the class.

O-Mann, I haven't laughed so hard in such a long time. :) You made my day!

Wishlist

Moving past the Blogger's Challenge for this one post, I have decided to compose my recent wishlist.
It's made up of items that are hard to find and/or vintage. :)

Here it is. ;)

1. Brown Leather Messenger (Side-) Bag.
I stumbled across this:
http://www.stumbleupon.com/su/5R6QAW/ubersuper.com/in-persona-whats-in-your-bag

And thought to myself, Hmm...well...if someone were to take a picture of me, then of all the items in my bag, it would probably be a messenger bag filled with my art supplies, sketchbook, camera, song-writing book, reading book, and laptop.  I'm sure I could fit all of that in a messenger bag ;)

2. An Official Star Wars T-Shirt, like so:

http://shop.starwars.com/catalog/product.xml?topcatID=1300264;product_id=1315634
or this:

YEP. I'll add to it as we go... :)

Blogger's Challenge Day 01.

15 Facts

I love Britain. Never have I been to this place...but I am in love with British accents, ancient British buildings, British comedy, and British music.
I rock out to several different genres of music {I can't just choose one} ~~indie (rock/pop/techno/folk), normal rock, britpop, alternative, hip hop, classical, piano, jazz....INDIE!~~
I love to eat and cook exotic foods.
I am Sri Lankan.
I love to write, and have recently begun to do so in French.
I paint abstract.
I write metaphorical songs.
I absolutely love astronomy. The stars...the universe...they fascinate me.
I read a lot. Pretty much any genre.
I hate scary movies. My idea of scary: Deja Vu, Inception, Shutter Island...etc. Things that are a battle of the mind kind of creep me out. I'm getting over it though.
I love to dance, though I've never taken lessons.
I am absolutely obsessed with Star Wars. Yoda is my hero.
I play the piano, recorder, know a little saxaphone, a little guitar, and have experimented with a harmonica and want to learn the banjo because weird instruments are the coolest most unique things ever. Anything that's "different" and wouldn't be used by artists in the Billboard Top 100 are things I am completely interested in.
I wear turquoise eye shadow, and don't care what the prepsters think.
I have no idea what I'm going to be when I grow up, but I trust the God who breathed air into my lungs. I owe it all to Him...for He knows the plans He has for me.....plans to prosper...and not to harm. Plans to give me hope and a future. {{Jeremiah 29:11}}
