About Me

My photo
Perhaps I'll sail around the world; go on a pilgrimage. I'd like to see what's out there, what I am missing. Maybe ink up, open a tea shop, and publish my music. But a goal's just a wish without plans.

Let's go on an adventure now.

It's funny how I can think that I have everything planned out one minute, and the next, it all falls apart (in a good way).

It's a good reminder to know that I am not in control, and that there are far greater plans for my life than I even know or can comprehend, just as it is with every one.

See I thought I was going to New Zealand for my YWAM trip, but that was before I was faced with the opportunity to meet my great grandparents for the first time.

I have made the choice to visit my great grandparents instead of going to New Zealand.

I'm cool with it. :) It was a very difficult decision to make, but it's comforting to know that YWAM will always be there if I decide to do a DTS in the future. :)

However; what with this trip to see my great grandparents across the continent, I don't know what is actually going to happen afterwards. See, YWAM was a 5 month thing. Visiting the grandparents is a shorter period of time, which leaves me very open ended about the whole "what does my future look like" thing.

If that makes sense.

It was just something I needed though, I guess. I needed to be reminded that I am not in control of my life. I've already surrendered.
God's in control.

He's probably laughing at me. :) Smiling, because I have absolutely no idea what's going to unfold this year. It's going to be so completely different from these past 12 years of education.

It's a good place to be. At a loss for control, but confident that at least Someone has His hands held tightly around my world.

Here's to the "Newness-Factor."

Let's go on an adventure, now.

:) Hi There.

Isn't summer great?
Hopefully the sun decides to actually stay out for all of August.
I'd say we definitely deserve it.
I mean...last year we were hittin it up at 30-40C! Yet, this whole entire month, July's just been handing us the most random weather. We even went to our favourite vacation spot, and the water was freezing cold! People were jumping into the lake in wet suits. -.- Not right.
I managed to wear shorts, but not half as much as I should have.
July should have given us a little more heat.
Crossing my fingers in hopes that my birthday will deliver us some sweet heat.

In other news, I have been sketching! :) Really enjoying my pencils, this time of year. I drew a Jedi Starfighter 05, and a Stormtrooper. Slightly flawed, and a little too penciled out, but I guess that's what you get when you use a 2B Pencil. :)

I've been practicing my piano! Though, I can't get my printer to work...and I'm supposed to be working on Sonata No.5 or something...... :3 Hopefully it prints out soon!!

Music wise, I'm still listening to a lot of pop, electro, DJ mixes, n stuff.

Movie wise, I am officially all caught up on the Harry Potter movies, and am absolutely convinced that books were +100% waaaaay better.
Don't get me wrong, the director didn't do too bad of a job, but it felt like so much was missing.
I still need to watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II, though.

Can't wait to see Agapanthus. Definitely miss you sooo much! Hope you're having the time of your life in Greece.
I want to go with you next year! :)

Blogger's Challenge Day 11

My Bucket List....Vain Endeavourments, really.

To travel the world.
Top 5 Places:
Britain, France, Italy, Japan, Guatemala.....(I have to stop....or I will just go on and on and on.)

To write a book.
I've always wanted to write a book. Fiction. With some adventure...some traveling...some fantasy...some of everything.

To go skydiving.  Or not.

To play my piano on top of a very tall building in a big city. Preferably the one close to home. :)

To make an album out of the songs I've written.

This is a general term...but someone once told me to "become good at the things you cannot do."
...And...that's exactly what I plan on doing before I kick the bucket. At least...I hope I can.

Someone else one said "Do or do not. There is no try."

I want to be a missionary...wherever I am...it's what I've been called to do.

And...Well...I'm not about to let fear get in the way.

An Excerpt from "6 Billion Others: Portraits of Humanity from Around the World"

"I remember when we were kids, I had friends whose parents had an attic. There was a bed there, and we spent all day in the attic with an old geography atlas. We made the bed into a plane. We'd all jump on it and take off, taking the atlas with us. We'd travel to South America, we'd fly over Amazonia, we'd go to Canada. We made up stories flying everywhere while staying in the attic."

Blogger's Challenge Day 05

Oh how I love to voyage. If I could, I would travel the world. Time would matter not.

I would live to travel. Travel to love. Love to seek. Seek to believe. Believe to live...

I love the world.

Having said that. I have pretty much traveled north to south of the province I live in. This province will remain nameless ;)

I have been to both Calgary and Edmonton...and the places in between there.

I have been to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Long Beach...well... I'm sure you've caught the drift. Cali's a wonderful place to be.

My all time favourite place: Sri Lanka.
Oooooh..... <3 LOVE.

This picture is of me at the beach in Sri Lanka. :) It was soooooo wonderful.

I want to go back.

Our airplane stopped in the Philippines and Singapore. I don't know if that counts as a place I've been to though. :)

This isn't part of the thinger, but, my favourite quote that fits well with my traveling-bug spirit:

"Oh! The places you'll go! You'll be on your way up! You'll be seeing great sights! You'll join the high fliers who soar to high heights!" ~Dr. Seuss
